This Idea was inspired from a harpoon grind that maker TK Steingass had done . I wrote the man and asked his permission if I could take his Idea and improve upon it . Well , it took him about 3 minutes to reply because he was laughing so hard , ( I could hear it through the phone line ) . Any way the kind man said go for it and I swear he started laughing again but not sure .
Well here it is TK , see it and weep
PS folks , he is a friend . Ok some specs
Steel - 3/16th , 154 cm S.S . Heat treated in my shop to an Rc 60-61 .
Grind & finish - harpoon profiled , double hollow grind on a 6" wheel with a bead blast finish .
Blade tip to handle is 5-1/4" , thumb grooving on the spine before top grind . Large choil for chocking up on the blade
Sharpened edges - the top edge is sharpened 3-3/4" , not hair popping . The design is for and to assist in penetration . The main edge is hair popping at4-1/4"
Handle - Contoured black linen Micarta , 303 SS pins and lanyard tube .
$225.00 + $15.00 for USPS shipping in the USA . International cost more , write me if interested .
