I just got my spec ops combat master based solely on the massive amount of praise ive been hearing about them on the becker subforum. it came today and i am disappointed to say the least. I guess i had expected this to be my new favorite sheath, and i was let down. First off, let me say the construction is great, its well made and seems durable as hell, but, i dont see it usefulness, (i thought it would be a useful sheath, one that i could use for all types of situations) but the front pouch is SMALL, tiny, wtf do you use it for? carrying pencils? perhaps a fruit roll up? what the heck can fit in there that is of any use that isnt in your survival tin (which doesnt fit in there btw). second the "jump-proof" strap is just dumb. I know that it needs to be adjustable since its a universal sheath but the velcro setup pushes out on the handle too much and even just standing there the sheath flips behind me, i want a straight hanger, not for the end of the sheath to behind my knee and the handle sticking in my pocket. Finally, and realize i bought this for my 2, it seems too small for such a hefty knife. My ten fits in it ok, but the 2, uh huh. I dunno how guyon and moose like theirss for their bk2s, but to me it seems like the the 2 doesnt balance well in the sheath, too much weight above and not enough inside. Anyway thats my mini review. it sucks that i just got it and dont like it, i guess itll be up for trade in the exchange or go out for a giveaway, i dunno. pics below
