I dont know clich, I would like to know how they both hold up in a battlefield situation when tested beyond normal limits... but where would we ever find a way to test them...

Moose was a bunch of help to me when I was still learning.

You've stopped learning? :D

I love the Spec-Ops Combat Master, but I'm not trying to carry the kitchen sink.
Most set-ups have a multi-tool that includes pliers, a smaller blade, and well... tools.
In addition, I often carry a mini-Bic, a small firesteel, some firestraws, a small Photon light, and a small survival whistle.
All those items will fit in the Spec-Ops pouch, and they cover a lot of ground. Paracord is already built into the sheath.

the sheath is up in the exchange section now. 40 bucks. 35 for bhs. i also ordered a gen 1 esee sheath. will do that review when it gets here

pretty harsh title. useless to you perhaps. we love them, eh?

fair review though. you don't like it, doesn't work for you.

the other regular/long sheaths are REALLY nice for the 3/5/7 and such.

sorry you hate it. perhaps return it for full funding?

twas an ebay buy and i tore off the tags in a fit of joy when i opened it up

yeh i guess i should edit the title. i was just full of piss and vinegar when it wasnt what i expected. consider it edited

I'm a little surprised at this. I have one of the TexasHuntCo long versions for my 7 and I love it, so I ordered a shorty for the 10. Neither has arrived in the mail yet, so we'll see how I like it when it gets here.

In the pouch I don't go crazy with it. A sharpening stone, firesteel, and a piece of fatwood. A whistle or signal mirror wouldn't be a bad idea either.

I'll take it off your hands for $35. I need something for my BK10 user. I was leaning toward black, but coyote brown would do.

EDIT: Looks like you may have a taker that beat me to it. That's cool.

Haven't heard back yet so there's still a chance, if he flakes its yours guyon

I can't believe you didn't like the pencil holder clich. You do know it will hold three sharpies, don't you?

the pouch on that sheath looks even smaller than the spec ops sheath

cant compare the 2 even

Yeh but I knew when I got it that it would only hold a small tin and what its full cababilties are. Im not comparing it to nicks leather im comparing it to the 10 sheath and my vision of what I thought it was. Don't get me wrong its a nice sheath just not for me since Im not a leg lash fan and since its universal it doesn't really fit all to well

If I had to grade test papers while camping it would be the perfect sheath! I knew it wasn't a big pouch. I guess my biggest gripe is the length vs width ratio. If I had a small whistle at the bottom of the pouch, my fingers couldn't get it out, id hafta take it off or flip it up side down, of take everything out and than push it up from the outside like a freeze pop.

A quick headstand while kicking a tree will usually shake most items out. It looks cool and impresses the ladies too. Stop whining and work on your dismount. Remember to come up smiling.
