This is a fighter I forged from some fantastic W2 stock from Aldo, The finish I was going for was an absolute dark ,glare free finish, so while it has been clay quenched the and the hamon is clearly visable, it is not as bold as could have been, but thats not the effect I wanted, I wanted a dark and dull finish
The finish was aquired by polishing to 500grit, bead blasting, then a very lengthy etch. It is exactlly as I anticipated.
The knife is 12 3/8'' long and has a cutting edge thats 7 3/16'' , the top clip is ground sharp but not actually shaving sharp. The width is 1 15/16'' at the ricasso. And the full tang is on a slight forged in taper.
The black linen micarta is secured with stainless corby's as well as marine grade poxy to seal out moisture.
Sheath options are up to you, and priced accordingly. I can offer you the knife with a handsewn belt sheath for $299
shipped in the u.s.
If you prefer something like kydex or a horizontal type setup I can also provide this, and the price will change according to what i am charged by www.handsewnleather.com
