Good Afternoon,
This one has been sitting around the shop for a couple months waiting on the edge and sheath and I finally finished it last night.
This blade is made from 0.280" CPM3V Full Flat ground to 400 grit and then finished on an ultrafine scotchbrite belt.
The handle is stacked leather with wrought iron guard and butt cap. The wrought iron has a really nice grain to it. The wrought iron was cut from an old ship chain then forged to shape and hot fit to the blade. I have read that this type of ship chain has not been produced for at least 100 years.. The butt cap was countersunk and the blade was peened into it. I included a picture of the ship chain it was cut from with the blade placed on top. The leather is the cutoff pieces from sheaths I have made over the last few months all 9 ounce skirting leather that was epoxy soaked.
The sheath is a Chris Reeves 7" Green Beret nylon.
Price SOLD , shipping is included to continental United States via USPS. Preferred payment is via paypal.
