Huh, that's strange, cuz I own a 1911 Colt Cut & Shoot Commander Model. I'll get some pics tonight.:D  :D

CAVE, I'd really like to see your 1911 since the last semi-automatic pistol of this ilk I saw was the infamous "Bolo Mauser Tibetan Mountaintop Slasher & Popper".

Here is the only known picture of another rarity (just for you Pen):
the Colt 3rd Model "Slicer, Dicer and Banger" (with detachable stock)

Yup.:D But remember, "think" is the operative word. I know they have got one of the finest collections of old Colt's I have ever seen!!!!
They have several of the Colt Revolver Rifles!!!! And several Colt Revolver's with accessory stocks.:D

CD's right when he says that the Davis Museum in Claremore has too many rifles of the same ilk displayed together, but it is still interesting nevertheless.
To see that many rifles of the same construction and no appearing differences is a marvel in itself.:)
But I find something new every trip I make there, once about every 7 or 8 years.
Mr.Davis was no doubt an avid collector.:D

I think the things I saw were along the lines of a CVA kit percussion pistol.

If I'd have seen stuff like has been posted here I'd have had an entirely different response. some extreme;y nice work shown.

JM Davis Gun Museum is in Claremore.
& Claremore is barely NE of Tulsa.
B-ville is about an hour drive north of Tulsa.
(starting from my house)

Per JP's request here is the 1911 Colt "POWIE" Commander. I heard it was used by Nepali Special Forces "The GoatHerders". Notice what looks like a fuller near the muzzle is actually a bullet groove.:D  :D

I finally got a copy of "Blades and Barrels" by H. Gordon Frost as an interlibrary loan.

Here are just a few teaser pics - stuff I know you guys might like:

Really like the Katars, but that pepperbox dagger makes me laugh. Always find pepperboxes amusing,a dn that one really seems overkill with a blade too. Thanks for sharing to everyone. :)

Do you reckon we could persuade Bill to put a good word in about getting a limited run of those axes made?

JP, I was thinking about those bayonets and couldn't help wondering whether it would be possible to go some way to 'restoring' the Khuk to its original form. Obviously it wouldn't be usable but if a handle was carved for it and a way could be found to anchor it in the handle it may make a good looking khuk at least? Just a bit of a pipe dream I was thinking about...

Mind you, whenever I think about them I remember what you said about cutting up Khuks and Brown Bess sockets, thats sacrilage!

some pretty. I prefer me knives-n-guns separate. If you need only one of the two, yer set. I'd hate to be whittling a stick tho and blow me thumb off er sumthing, or cut meself tryin to deploy the gun.

If yer knife and gun are separate, they can be deployed one in each hand, at the same time.

The gun trousse is coool--in case the beast yer carvin up aint dead while yer butcherin' it, then Powie!

I kinda see the spike on the pepperbox as a sort of primitive sighting device--if it's stuck in the assailant, then you pull the trigger!

Other than Bruce Bump's creation, I'd not fire any of the other ones.

(all weapons are the same...hmm)
