Hi guys,
My first post on this forum, although I have been lurking for awhile.

Some time ago there was a post with regards to a combination sheath that straps onto your leg.

The sheath was designed to hold your knive and had additional pockets for other goodies.

I did a search but for the life of me could not find it again.

Any help will be appreciated.

Regards

Hi raggie jack and welcome to the Forum!

Try a search with "sheath pouch". I am not 100% sure what exactly you are looking for but several things popped up with the above-mentioned search.

I would recommend for a sheath pouch: flat sharpener, metal match, waterproof tinder, matches, BIC lighter, small pocket knife, cord.
Not surprisingly, this is pretty much what I had in my sheath pouch

We carry a combo knife sheath made by Blackhawk at www.gogetemgear.com .
It's the Airborne Deluxe Knife Sheath. The ADKS is made of 1000 denier ballistic Nytaneon nylon. This knife sheath can be worn as a drop leg, on the belt or on web gear. It comes standard with a utility pouch and a leg tie down. Internally it has a TalonFlex hard protective insert. I usually carry either a multi-tool or a 9mm mag in my sheathe's utility pouch. They come in 5.5 and 7 inch lengths. A pic can also be found at http://albums.photopoint.com/j/ViewPhoto?u=1092947&a=9512486&p=31303007
Military, LEOs, EMS and firefighters recieve a 20% discount, and all proucts are guaranteed for life.

Hope this helps.
Dan

Yes, I recall the post. The sheath had 3 sections, with the knife occupying the middle one. The other two wrapped around the front and back of your leg. Each had a pouch or pouches, loops, etc. It strapped around your leg, and hung in drop-down mid-thigh position. I don't know where to find it though. If someone knows where or what this sheath was, let us know.

Lke I said, They aren't cheap.

I have worn mine for the last year and a half with no complaints. A few months back I was called out on a search where I was sent out with a Tracking dog (Bloodhound). I was on the run for 1-1/2 hours and hardly knew I had the sheath on. It is very comfortable and very durable.
