Comfortable fixed blade carry

I EDC a Benchmade Rant (4+ inch blade). The knife has a thick cordura sheath. I just tuck the sheath in the waistband of my pants, and it is held in place by the thickness of the hilt riding on my belt. I usually place it above my right thigh, blade pointing at my groin, or vertically in the small of my back.

I can draw the knife with one hand. If I need to take off the knife, I just take the knife/sheath out of my waistband. Very simple. I can even run and jump with it like this, and it won't fall out.

I carry a Nimravus, cocked downwards at a 45 degree angle on a tek-lock attached to my belt, on the front right side. It conceals well too.

I don't understand where the discomfort is coming from.

My hips are pretty finicky. When I had a leatherman on my left hip it did
the same thing. I find that any more than 4oz is too much.
The one knife I have been able to carry on my belt without problem,
was a Cold Steel Voyager in a kydex sheath made by my brother.
Voyagers don't weigh too much.
Problem with that is AUS-8, and the anti-flicking laws in Canada.

I got the thigh rig done, we'll see how well it works out in a week or two.
To make it. I cut out a large circle of leather, fold it in half, rivot
it together, and loop it onto my belt.
