Just finished reading a publishers proof I picked up at a used bookstore of the Will Eisner autobiography, A Spirited Life. A very interesting look at the man behind some of comic's most innovative creations. Lots of neat stories, told in a fluid interesting manner. It seems like every famous cartoonist/comic book artist/writer had either worked for Will, or studied under him at SVA. Also, I don't know how true this is, but it seems that Eisner was a champion for artists, in as much as keeping the rights to their work and getting their art returned to them, which was unheard of back when Eisner broke into comics.
