Coming back to Spyderco

Well... yes. Salt1, Brn E4 or the Para. I'd love to find a Brn Para Military.

Good knives. I wish I could carry an E4, but this darn state limits us to 3.5" blade length. I personally love the Para1 (had one in D2 a ways back); they're hard to find nowadays. Not as much a fan of the para2.

Well, the tracking for my GB shows it is "out for delivery". Should be arriving soon. Can't wait!

You'll love it! The only knock I have against it is its shallow choil, but that's just because I'm a big choil fan. The F&F of the GB is amazing and it's an absolute cutting machine.

It finally came today! A bit of misinformation from the PO. It was "out for delivery" for about 24 hours, but it eventually arrived safe and sound. First impressions: a very very stout knife. Larger than I expected, length-wise. But not as heavy as I was fearing, after reading all the comments about it's heft. Lockup is perfect, action is smooth. Not a lot to complain about with this knife. Mine I got second-hand, and the fellow who sold it neglected to tell me it had a small chip in the edge. Well, that small chip took a LONG time to work out. I had to take it to the belt sander to get things moving. I originally didn't want to convex the edge, wanted to keep it close to factory if possible. But, now it has a screaming sharp convex edge on it, with no imperfections, and I'm happy. I think I will avail Tom Krein of that mod that Powernoodle showed us. I can access the liner lock, but it sure would be easier if it had a slight cutout. Not sure how the M4 steel will perform, but I have high expectations after reading the Gayle Bradley Hard Use thread. I may even end up liking it more than ZDP-189, but we shall see.
