We know the Commander is point-heavy. I found out today that I can flick my Commander open from the closed position. Cool. I do not recommend flicking a knife open all the time tho.

Of course, my pivot screw is set just-right. I had to flick it a few times until I got the feel.

Well that's pretty cool Rolf, I can't flip any of mine without wrist action, maybe because the weight? Very cool nonetheless.

Same here except I keep my pivots tight with no play and adjust the second detent. Super commander is flick able

Super roadhouse will thumb flick like crazy. It really depends on if the knife is broke in or not and how you do your pivots and detent.

Thanks, guys.
For some reason my pivot screw can be adjusted with my thumbnail. If I tighten it just a tad too much, the blade hits the handle liner.

Is it the new pivot or the older one? My patriot did that and I had to play with the detent on the non locking side to get it where I wanted it .

If you do start playing with it go slow. Just the smallest adjustments can make the difference

I just learned that i can open my horseman by doing a quick wrist action. Its a very quick and short stroke action, left then quick hard right to make the blade fiy open. Its hard to explain.

Lycosa you probably know more about emersons than me. That being said if you ever need a tip or a trick on centering your knife I know a few little tricks for it ,I also have tinkered with the action on my 1 or 2 emersons;)

Don't hesitate to shoot me an email if you ever need anything.

I've actually been having a heck of a time with my new PSARK. When closing the blade, with the it being curved, the tip was being pushed VERY close to hitting the lock side liner. If I loosened the pivot, it WOULD hit. I tried loosening all the handle screws and pivot screw and placing a paper wedge between the lock side liner and the blade, then tightened everything up. My hope was that this would move the blade to be off center towards the non-locking side. No success. I even went as far as to try a slightly thicker brass washer on the locking side to give the blade some more clearance. This worked, but I wasn't happy having two uneven width washers. Finally, I decided to try to adjust the second detent. I reduced the bend by about 50%, placed the original washer back and tightened it all up again. By the way, I'm tightening starting with the handle screw farthest from the pivot and working towards the pivot, then tightening the pivot last. Well, with the adjusted second detent, this finally seemed to do the trick. I hope.

Thank you, Spartan00 and thanks for posting your info, netguy1999. Im glad that worked!

I've actually adjusted my lockup , by doing the centering trick (torque pivot down then backing off frame screws) with the blade half open. None of mine have late lockup or anything but it will give you some earlier lockup if anybody does have any with late lockup
