Commander Flick

I just learned that i can open my horseman by doing a quick wrist action. Its a very quick and short stroke action, left then quick hard right to make the blade fiy open. Its hard to explain.

That is called a kinetic opening. It's cool for awhile, but it will eventually enlarge the hole in the liners where the stop pin resides and it will give you vertical blade play you will not be able to get rid of short of replacing the liners.

The stop pins are harder than the liners, so the blade slamming into them over time takes its toll. I had that happen to a CQC8 that I gave away because of it and I no longer do kinetic openings on any of my Emersons.

Thanks, man.^
I do not recommend flicking knives but it's cool to know the Commander can be flicked open... if needs be.

The best way to center your knives is to loosen all the screw. Loosen the pivot until the blade is wobbly and all the handle screws, then tighten your way up from the bottom until you get to the pivot and adjust to your preference. It's worked on all mine so far.
