I just got a 2005 Commander, came in the mail Saturday morning. I haven't had a chance to use it for anything but one envelope. 
Got to be careful with the razor edge on this one. It opens up very smoothly, locks reliably, and holding it by the handle back, I tapped the back of the blade sharply on my palm. Not a bit of motion. EKI can make a solid knife. But any lock can wear or jam and has to be monitored, more as it grows older.
