Commander Pivot?

I've had my Commander for about 2 weeks now and the black coating on the pivot screw has come off most of it already...Not just all over, just here and there, It looks like a leopard or something! I tried to cold blue it but no luck. Anyone have idea on how to put the black back on.
BTW...I did have trouble with the pivot backing itself out so I tried the teflon tape trick and so far it seems to help.
