Commander sure is a big knife

To me its perfect, but I dont do small knives. The ergos on the commander are awesome. As far as it being intimidating hey if its legal I wouldnt worry about it . When i carried my super emersons rhe only thing i mught donis if in public avoid waving it,again if its legal to own and carry where you are and you like it , get it.

My Commander just arrived, or I just arrived home to my new commander, and I must say, like the vindicator, I thought it would be bigger. The ergos of the handle are awesome, one of the most comfortable I've felt. Of course the pivot is a little tight so I need to adjust that. I wouldn't say there's lock stick but it need to be broken in. All in all, excellent addition. Oh, and my cqc-15 is on it's way!

I have a Super Commander and I love the size. 4" blades are my favorite no matter the maker.

I have a CQC 15 also, and it is a really nice size also. It's almost like the SC's little brother, and there are times for each to be carried.

Rxavage, have you quit staring at it yet, or still in the middle of doing so like I would be, not able to put it down? ;)

I can't type with the vindi in my left hand and the commander in the right so I had to put it down for now but I've been testing different grips and various deployment styles while trying to adjust the pivot.

I recently got a Commander and love it - great size for EDC IMHO. The ergos are great, and I absolutely love the blade! Still getting used to the Emerson chisel grind. Not saying I don't like it, just getting used to it. I ordered the skull lanyard and skull pocket clip from their website, so it's pimped out now!

Yeah, I sharpened the re-curved chisel-edge on my edge pro earlier, it's insanely easy to sharpen. I absolutely love Emersons now!! I have a bad feeling my wallet is going to suffer from this new found love :(

I agree that the Commander is very pocketable for its size. It is one of my bigger folders but that is why I bought it.

My Commander was my first Emerson. The Mini Comm. followed soon after and is more EDC friendly - I love it too but my Commander is definitely my preference of the two sizes.

I get that the Mini Comm potentially works more easily in an EDC role (hence purchasing a couple of 7's) but the Commander has real presence about it - ☺.

What the heck - there is only ever one answer here buy both sizes!!!

I was thinking earlier tonight that if I had to choose only ONE knife to use the rest of my life, period, I could live with my Super Commander.

Over my 7 CRKs and even my fixed blades.

If it were a different situation in the world, like anarchy, then I'd have to go with my 7" Lionsteel fixed blade. But that is, of course, thankfully an unlikely scenario. Except in the movies.

So in a normal world, if I had to choose only one, it would be my Super Commander.

Because it is so freakin' awesome!

Amen, brother!!!

I love my Commander. Perfect size for my big mitts. I could actually go for a Super right about now. :D

The Commander is awesome. Have one in BT and it gets carried the majority of the time. Its a great size. I'm right on the edge of a Super (I may have to break down and order one eventually) with the size of my paws. Its relatively thin, but grippy and contoured around the edges. Maybe when I order the Super i'll spring for the SFS model...

I just got my Commander. Had an older version in the past I bought pretty beat-up and sold it. The new one is amazing. It's much bigger than I remember. I was thinking Super as well, but I really see no need. I don't waste any more pocket real estate with the Super. If they could fit the Super blade in the standard Commander frame, I'd be in for one of those.

I got the mini because the standard Commander is longer than 3.5" and would turn me into a criminal if I carried it here in CO. We're good at stupid laws such as bans on "high capacity, magazine clips" and no auto knives here in Colorado. Hopefully that will change in November.
