Y'know, 10" blade sounds about right to me . . . what with handle, bolster, and skullcrusher that would probably make a 16-18" OAL.

I'm actually arguing for a smaller knife. Who'd'a believed that?

Ok, here's the details I promised:
OAL - 17" including pommel point
Blade length - 10"
Blade width at belly - 2 7/8"
Blade width at cho - 1 7/8"
Blade width at guard - 3"

The only dimension I really tried to get overall was the blade length, the rest was just by eye. The width at the belly could probably be 3" to use an even number.

 
I suggest rounding the tips of the guards as much as possible and making the finger indexing bulge as small as possible.

Looks like a nice knife.

I think 14' might be a good alternate size. It would still fit comfortably in a shoulder scabbard or briefcase for discreet carry, be short enough for a crossdraw or strong side. Long enough to give you leverage and reach.

besides 7 and 7 are mistik numbers that have power.
