There was a thread about a week or so ago about using these. I had a pile of them and decided to make a Little Chubby for hunting season. Just as I remembered, the bi-metal blades work and heat treat just like the simple carbon steels (5160 etc)
That ought to be a pretty decent knife, Pete! I have a number of such blades in use, and from all accounts, they have held up very well. Some of the knives are well over 10 years old.
