Commercially made grinders and belt wobble?

G'day all, I just did the first test run today on my KMG clone (will post some pics once i get it finished) everything seems pretty good, but...
Having never seen a comercially made machine running (KMG, BADER etc.) I'm not sure whether the wobble thats noticible when the belt is running at a slow speed, about an 1/8", is because, (i assume) no belts are actually dead straight, or whether it has something to do with my machine? maybe the wheels need a little bit more allignment?
The wobble is not noticible at high speed and everything looks like it's tracking well.

i guess what i'm asking is if all belts wobble slightly even on professionally made machines and if so does about 1/8" sound right? or if my machine needs more work?

any input would be very much appreciated thanks in advance:):)
Cheers!

Unfortunately, you'll get belts with wobble. Some are just not cut straight. Sometimes it can be rather irritating when trying to grind a straight line with a wobbling belt :) Sometimes the wobble corrects itself as you apply pressure to the belt and the wobble or unevenness of the belt goes away and sometimes it just continues to wobble. I doubt it's your machine, just try different belts to determine if it's the belt or the grinder!

Some belts wobble on my Bader, some do not, sometimes a little more tension will help on the heavy X weight belts, and I have found that leaving a belt tight on a serrated wheel, idle for a few days will make them wobble, especially J-Flex belts.

If the problem is your machine the wobble will be on all belts and fairly consistent. It would mean a wheel was out of round or not parallel to the axis. If your wheels are not aligned well with each other you would have a tracking problem to one side or the other.
