Superconductor I believe. Also there is honeycomb expanded aluminum product for some kind of construction, but I haven't seen enough of it to know what its called.

There is a man by the name of "traviszumwalt" aka the wood wizard... he uses the aluminum meshe stuff... i believe its called "c-teck" pretty sure you can google it and see pictures.
 
Yes, that looks exactly like it albeit much smaller, with epoxy filled in.
 
www.plascore.com has aluminum, stainless, aramid, and poly honeycomb core material which could be filled with epoxy to make all sorts of panels for scales. It is very common in marine and aerospace panels.
