I'm not mentioning anyone yet, but someone sent me a knife that is noticeably warped. The knife has clearly been used, but the seller pointed that out. There are no signs of impact, dents, chips, or deep scratches on the blade. Except for the warping, it looks nice. The USPS box doesn't have any dents or a pierced surface. I doubt the warping was due to postal mishandling. The seller doesn't have an extensive rating history, but it is 100%. I suppose they might not have noticed the warping. But again, it's pretty obvious to me. I'd like to work this out, but I have no leverage.

Any tips?

Have you contacted the person you bought this knife from? If you haven't, you should.

No. Not yet. It would reveal the seller.

He has responded. But, we haven't decided on a course of action yet.

Possibly... How would you know? Exactly how would that change the situation?

If it were a production knife, you could possibly send it in for warranty work. Custom makers can offer good warranty service too, but they cannot keep up with the fast paced production companies that crank out 100s of knies a day..
