Up for grabs is one of my Compact scouts. I went with Thunderstorm kevlar for the scales and added blue G10 liners for splash of color. I think the contrast looks really nice.
The tang is thinly tapered and the pins are carbon fiber which lends to a light and well balanced knife. I gave it a mid length false edge that ends in a needle point, the cutting edge is shaving sharp.
The sheath is a hand stitched, ambidextrous, scout style sheath. It is hand dyed saddle tan and the finished with my homemade, Beeswax based leather finish. It has a nice, warm, rustic look. I stitched this one with Kevlar thread rated to 135lbs tensile strength!!
Here are the specs.
Blade - 3.7" tip to handle
OAL - 8.4"
Steel - 80crv2 at 60rc
Handle - Thunderstorm Kevlar with Blue G10 liners
Pins - Carbon fiber with a copper lanyard tube
Features - Tapered tang
Sheath - Hand stitched veg tan leather with kevlar thread. Homemade beeswax finish.
Price - $395 + $12 Priority shipping with Insurance
Thanks for looking!
