Compact mess kit?

nested w/ the lid forming the bottom you'd still have room for storage- here's what I came up w/ for my 10x4- it's a maxped "tactical" can pouch

holds my Ti stove, Esbit tabs, couple of wetfire tabs, mini bic and a few candles

another option is specialty bottles- that have several aluminum round tins of varying diameter and height

Take a look at the "Tiffen Box" that they sell at Cost Plus World Market. For $10 you can't go wrong. In my earlier thread I stated it was approximately 5"X5". In looking at it again, it is actually about 4.5"X4.5" for both pots and the lid. For just the top pot, the dimensions are 4.5"X2.5".

Hey Thanks! That top pot would be ideal for me. Tell me, can you put that over an open flame? What's it made of?

I contacted them and told them I'd be interested in and order of 4.5X3.5 steel containers, and was it possible to get a few samples. I'll report back what I find.
