Compact water carrier

Pict, I had a thought. Since you've expressed concern about how your Brazilian friends would react to a condom and to the breast milk bags... how about carrying a deflated soccer (futball) ball. We know this will get you plenty of support and empathy from Brazilian men. Just tell them you stole it from Manchester United.

Naro,

Filling a soccer ball with water in Brazil would be considered a terrorist act.

My wife just picked up a box of breastmilk storage bags made by Lansinoh ("dedicated to breastfeeding mothers").

They come 25 to a box. They are really good for mini-kit water storage. The bags have a double zip-lock at the top and hold almost half a liter of water. They roll down very small and can easily fit in an Altoids tin.

I did a drop test on one filled with water and dropped from head high into the bathtub. It did burst at the bottom. Mac

I'd do the platypus in a jacket or coat pocket. Much better in the long run. Very tough, roll really flat.

Robert,

I e-mailed Platupus and found out they make a 0ne liter version of their "Big-Zip" basically a wide mouth ziplock 6 x 12 inch platypus bag. Without the screw top it would be very flat and easy to fill with the top zipped open.

They are certainly on my wish list. I just have to find someone who carries them. Mac

I can get them if you wish.
