Powder coat can be painted but you'll cover over the logo unless you really take your time

I kinda like the look. Are they actually using walnut or is it Dymondwood? I could use the camp knife and the hatchet. Like the looks of the froe but don't know if it would get much use. Still, getting the whole set and putting them away for a rainy day might be a good idea either from a use or collectible standpoint.

Geez, how did I miss that? I even got new glasses last week. :o

Hahhaha, dang eyeglasses!
I had my yearly eye exam a week or so ago, prescription changed a slight bit, but my current glasses work fine.
So no new glasses for me yet!
Not to mention 1 pair of glasses is about the same price as 3 nice Buck Knives ;)

Cool cant wait to try one of these.

Im sure Buck will perfect the spring steel heat treat as always.

I am thrilled Buck is going to offer these items! I hope they do well. The camp knife looks great.

Now that I can see it better the knife looks like a slightly modified Sentry with wood scales and paint. Not a fan of the Sentry so without better photos I may be off this offering.

I just realized that there is a difference in the steels used even if the Compadre "Camp Knife" does look a lot to me like the Sentry. I'd like to try the 5160 steel so I guess I'm back on board with this new offering.

Shoot.... that is just blood camouflage

Funny you should say that... I have been testing the Froe for the last month and nearly took off the tip of my thumb! Such a long blade edge you really have to pay attention when you are using it. However if you heat your house with wood or camp a lot the Froe makes you feel like Superman when processing kindling for your fires

I actually do heat the house with wood, so am very interested in the froe!
It looms like it would be great for kindling making..... and chopping tumbleweeds and other brush.
