OOPS !
Sorry Spyderco.
Forgive me Sal.
Your spell check must be as reliable as mine. I couldn't count the audible "wtf's" on a given day whilst typing on my phone.

Thought it might have been a play on words for honing the sides of the edge. Syder hones or something.

The wink face threw me... carry on.

OOPS !
Sorry Spyderco.
Forgive me Sal.

Your penance is to buy three brand-new Spyderco Delica Sprint Runs and then use them in giveaways here on BF. Of course, I don't speak for Sal, I'm just trying to help you ease your guilty conscience. That's all. Really. But if I happen to... you know... be the recipient of one of a nice sprint run Delica, I can sure see some good vibes coming your way. Just sayin'. :p :D

The title says knives, and the opening post only says "great makers". I must have missed the memo about it being in reference to pocket knives only.
Well they started out making files ( probably other tools as well ), and now also make knives.
His example may have been some folding knives ,but he never said they had to be.
Btw F.Dick knives are used in a lot of commercial kitchens, are they not great ?

Keep in mind Syderco made The Spyder before the sharpening equip.
Hence the name.;)

I don't think I ever heard it called The Spyder.
I think it was the Portable Hand (device looked like a four legged spider to folks),
then the infamous Sharp Maker soon after.
