Comparing the SHBM, BM-E, and FBM.

Is the weight of the FBM actually much more?

Or Just balanced in a more blade heavy Fashioned?

Ounces Different?

30 oz for a Straight BM, 38 oz for a AK?

How tired after cutting through a 6 inch Branch?

BME cuts less per swing, but fatigues less over time.

Straight BM handier for cutting one or two 6" rounds but you get more tired using for an hour or so at a time.

I may end up with an FBM or two eventually, if my Wife lets me get back into trading, But I am not likely to just buy one.

I am entirely To Happy with my Current user, a one of three hundred.

I do want to use an AK for some big knife skill tests, but it has not happened as yet.

I initially mentioned somewhere that the center of mass of the FBM is about 1/2 inch to 3/4 inch more towards the tip than the SHBM and someone actually posted a pic of it. So the balance makes it definitely feel heavier and it probably is a bit heavier. But not as much as it feels I am sure. I can send you one to play with if you wish. I am already beating the crap out of it.

Cobalt,

I was just sort of wondering about actual weight in OZs cause I read right here in this very forum where some one listed a weight in Grams and OZs, where the OZs turned out to be Way to heavy to even think about.

So I kind of wondered if some one had a more reasonable weight listed for the FBM/FBMLE.

Thank you for the kind offer of a loan, I will decline at this time as such temporary handlings of Busse knives has cost me a lot of money in the past due to a Basic weakness on my part when dealing with knives that I desire.

Also, I am not currently in a position to use the knife for large knife skills practice and as such would be borrowing under false pretenses.

Which would tend to put me in a postion to do just Air cutting and Diaper rubbing, with the occasional Kitchen work thrown in on the side.

Let us not forget the play with the sharp knife while watching Action Adventure types of Movies on the DVD player, while Screaming out from time to time, "Take That" You Evildoers"(The AK is especially good for this while Watching either Kill Bill, or any of the Dawn of the Dead types of films)

It is however a kind offer, thank you.
