It's been a little over a year since I did the comparison pics on the mat. You can find my previous comparison thread here: Comparison Photos - Round Two

Note, that since each knife is hand made, there are going to be subtle differences in each knife. Handles will be thicker or thinner, grinds are different, and of course blade thickness all make each one unique. Andy has also updated some of the models over time.

Please feel free to request shots of smaller groups of knives that you're specifically interested in.

Each knife has been lined up at the plunge line.

I've split this into two groups, with the some of the 4" blades showing up in both groups as a reference point.

4" and Under

Esquire
3 Finger Karda
EDKarda
Patch Knife
Hiking Buddy

Thanks for doing this again thurin. A great reference for models not yet found.

And for the Electric Orange fix.

thurin,
I blame you and a few other members on here for the reason I bought one of those mats!! I am now really looking forward to these updates.
Thank you for taking the time and effort to put this together.

Outstanding thread Nathan! Thank you for taking the time to post this.

Thanks guys!

Sorry about the lack of updates yesterday. I started adding some.

That's one beefy bushfinger. Good stuff Nathan, thank you for the post - it is a helpful reference

Thanks a whole lot for doing this and taking the time out of your busy schedule to do it. You really helped me out a lot by doing this. Chuck

You're welcome!

Updates to the little knives are up.

Remember, if there are any small groupings you want to see, just let me know.

I hope you don't mind me jumping in, but I have made similar shots and I count 6 models added to the list for a total of 31 represented in this thread. I have included some of the same models for reference. I'm also not as good as Thurin at getting the knife to stand up on its own for the even spacing on the grid. These were quick and dirty shots, but if you want closeups of anything let me know and I will try to get better photos.

Group 1 (left to right):

Bushcrafter
KE Bushie
Arete
Lady Finger
Gaucho
Bear Paw BC
Hunter
Bushcrafter Sr.

Also, I though this might be interesting to show the variation between the same model. I have over 50 BCs now and I picked two that have a the same blade thickness and almost the same taper. The scale thickness and contour are very different. I think variation is why many of us like custom knives to begin with. The same model can "feel" very different and these pictures show why.

Wow, this will be epic! It also reminds me that I completely missed out on the Longfellow.....
