Compass Bowie with Gnarly stag handles. Don't know alot about it. My father purchased it years ago. Unused, unsharpened, put away until about a week ago. I found this on the internet and that's about it.

"The knife is 12 7/8 inches (about 33 centimeters) overall length, the blade is 7 7/8 inches (about 20 1/2 centimeters) in length. On the front of the blade near the hilt, which is brass and about 8.2 centimeters long, there is a stamp that reads Compass on the top line and SOLINGEN GERMANY on the second line. The C in Compass makes a circle over the Com and around and under the word Compass.

On the back of the blade appears the number 851. The handles are stag, are about 4 3/4 inches (12.2 centimeters) long, and are each about 1.5 centimeters thick.

The brown leather sheath has a raised imprint of an elk on the front and MADE IN GERMANY stamped in the leather under where the handle would be when the knife is in the sheath.

(The person telephoned) Compass in New York City and was told that the knife was imported between 1965 and 1990, probably from Gustav Holler. They did not know if Gustav Holler was the maker or the exporter."
