Compass in a car?

I bought one of the little digital compasses that mount on your dash, and it seems to work fine(you have to calibrate it, by driving in a circle in a parking lot first). One thing that annoys the heck outta me; it has no light on it that I can find, so the thing is worthless when driving at night.

That's why you ought to carry a cigarette lighter with you to light the little thing up, whoops-about ran off the road there, that does help though.
