I decided to make a natural canvas micarta scaled version of my Competition cutter. This is waaaaaay prettier than my rubber handled test blade :) 14 7/8 in overall with a 9 3/8 blade(tip to handle). Brass pins and thong hole liners. I used 1/4in 5160 for the blade. The tang is strategically drilled out to reduce weight without sacrificing strength.Comes with a Kydex sheath too :) Price is $300***SOLD*** shipped in CONUS. I can accept a MO or Paypal.

That's a good looking useful knife for camp or kitchen. That canvas micarta looks much more like wood than most I've seen.

Real curious as too how much you drill out to get a balance with that size blade. Since the "how-to" of tapered tangs still eludes me.

I wish I had deep pockets, I'd be the best friend of A LOT of makers on this site.

Great Job.

excellent work Bill ...like usual! that came out beautiful! wish I had some extra cash. Bad timing, I'm more spread out then road kill financially!

:D

That is one big brute of a beautiful knife.

10/10 I like many or all that you make
