competition cutter recommendation

Thanks for all the great picks. I placed an order with Burt Foster for the blue collar camp knife.

Good choice! I think you will really like the knife and dealing with Burt as well.

But wait, there's more! ;) Kevin Cashen made (and used in cutting/chopping demonstrations) this one. I use it too because it's incredibly tough and would be very difficult to damage.

Of course one couldn't go wrong with one of Burt Foster's blades. He surely knows knows what he's doing!

Yes he does, and in that picture, you get the additional understanding that Burt has a "war face"....not unlike that of an angry, overgrown 8 year old burning ants with a magnifying glass.:D

Speaking of Blue Collar camp knives, I sure was sorry that I missed out when this gorgeous beast was posted on Burt's available page:

Somebody sure snagged a heck of a knife and a pretty terrific value.

Also add Matt Roberts, Shawn Ellis and Matt Lamey to the list.

ph.ht1, I was the one that ended up being lucky enough to catch this sweet deal from Burt. When it comes time to finalize the details on your big chopper go for Burt's cross draw/strong side sheath.

As short as I am and as big as this knife is, I can still carry it around comfortably with that sheath design. Even sitting in my truck it just lays across my lap and I don't even notice it's there.
