What do all you Infi abuser's prefer for hard use ?

BTW.. I would like to thank the Busse Crew for my Ganza scores.
My first Busse after year's of wanting to get one, now I have 2 on the way.

First a TG Satin with Coyote, Tan and Black G10 Handles, and a NMSFNO Garth Edition.

Now I need to get a little SOB, and a TGLB. Does this feeling of "Must Have Next Busse" go away ?

unless something has changed recently, the comp finish isn't being offered anymore

It's still offered, but at this point is no longer an option when ordering through the storefront.

They offered these Competition Finish SOB's at Blade Show this year and in the following BladeShowGanza…... :)

Hardtymez...Welcome to the forum and the insanity; great choice on knives as well!!!:thumbup::thumbup:

Welcome aboard This Crazy BUSSE TRAIN and congrats on your selection....Coating will wear off when you treat your blades to some tuff love but then you see the beauty shining through!!!!

Welcome to the Busse family forum fun! That "Must Have" feeling never really goes away, trust me.

I like to wear the coating off :)

I recently stripped my CGFBM,and it looks like comp finish under the coating.
I really like the comp finish look, so I do not mind CG finish to begin with.

Welcome!

Get the knives you like and use em! They're all designed to be used hard. I love the look of a good loved blade so coating, satin, comp, whatever, it's going to get scratched and dinged and look AWESOME!

The only ones I would be careful of using hard, especially chopping, is the ones with mosaic handle pins.

Welcome to the madness!!! You are hooked now, BEST knife and BEST company here.

My preference is coated (combat grade). You can beat on it and see the wear and also have that extra layer of protection. Then when the time comes you can strip it, put a ScotchBrite pad to it and have a whole new knife to fall in love with. If you're lucky enough to have a really nice finish underneath, like the first NMFSH's, then it's even better. I'd almost swear they were LE's!

Competition finish is pretty awesome but can be seen as ugly to some. I like seeing the dimples and imperfections.

I like satin finish too but I don't have a lot of experience with it yet since I only have three and haven't used them much. I will say they seem to scratch easily if using a kydex sheath that isn't just right. I don't mind a scratch on any knife except one with satin finish.

The feeling doesn't go away. It just gets worse. There will be some knives that don't do it for you and you'll pass on them. Then later some of them will hook you and you'll end up getting them too.
