This is very far from perfection. I am really satisfied with the way it turned out. It took me 20 some hours of youtube and various other how-to videos, books and a few dumb questions on this forum. Let me know what you think, just take it easy on me. Still learning.

I've never made a blade before, but this looks great! Any specifics on the steel, grind, handle material, dimensions, etc? Looks fantastic!

O1 steel, Bolivian rosewood scales. Full flat grind. Blade 4.5" handle 4.5-ish" overall just a tad over 9".

It looks a heck of a lot better than my first knife! I would suggest rounding and contouring the handle more. It might be good in real life but from the pics, it still looks like some sharp angles in the side. Just my opinion...

Very well done. The blade finish makes it look utilitarian and if you put that type of blade finish on a more modern (I try not to use tactical if I can avoid it as it can mean different things) blade then it would look even more badass. Very well done on the blade shape and you even have a lanyard hole on your first knife. When it comes to everyones first knife I am usually very respectful and give compliments, because for me just doing it as a hobby and only have made a few blades I realize how much work, time, and money goes into each knife.

Very nice first blade! Just like KrabbyKakes said it would look and feel better with more contour in the handle area. Did you hand file the bevels or use a belt grinder?

Very well done. That is much better than my first. My only critique would be the pins seem a touch low. Other than that it is purely personal preference in that I am not a fan of the rear quillon and would prefer it without.

Good job, now show us another!

Yep, I noticed that. I may just go a bit more simple and just have one bigger pin and a hole next time.

Made this on a belt. A piece of sh%$ HF 1x30 :) I am going to have to upgrade from that thing one day.

Looks nice! I haven't finished a second knife yet, but my first was something a prisoner would have been ashamed of. I made that on a borrowed 3 x 18 black and decker belt sander flipped over and zip tied down. I have that same 1 x 30 now, and it is a POS.
