  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

Completed. Sheath for a friend of mine.warning Heavy Duty

Pre drill with drill press then stitch by hand.

Your stitching and edging does look great.

I get your reasoning, but damn, that's thick! But again, like someone else said, is your customer happy? Is it what he wanted? If so, rock on!!

I admit it's a little thick. It will be a great addition to the BK 9. The next one I will only stack between the blade and the back side of the knife. This will let the knife sit vertical with no tilting and will cut down on the thickness.

Stacked is fine at the throat to accommodate for a wide handle, then it needs to taper down to the blade thickness. Otherwise you wind up with a lot of flopping around because there's too much space between the blade and the front and back of the sheath.

I agree. Each sheath is fitted, zero play.

That has to be the thickest walled sheath I've ever seen!

If you didn't want to wet mold around the handle and still wanted to keep that flat profile around it the only way I figure you could trim down the layers a little toward the tip, making a sort of a wedge shape to the profile. That would cut some major weight and bulk.

Still, nothing wrong with how you did it, very unique. :)

Completed my first Left, Right, Scout and Traditional carry sheath. 6th so far. Feels good in the hand. Weighs 2lbs including knife which is almost a pound by itself.

That is a lot of carry options :D it's pretty sweet. With that weight and the variety of options for carry, i don't see how it can be improved. It's like leather kydex! :D
