Completed the Holy Trinity today

You lucky devil.

Not that I can complain — every time I'm without my Sebenza (large regular) for any length of time, it actually makes me really happy to pick it back up. I'm sure I'll get an XM-18 one of these days, but I don't need to…

I'm only 1/3 on the "holy trinity" I refuse to own a CRK though unless I get it at a REALLY awesome price. But I'm gunning for the top one, I gotta buy me a 3.5" XM-18.

At the very real risk of going off-topic, what's a REALLY awesome price for a Sebenza? I think retail is pretty good...

SMF CC is beautifully shaped and super ergonomic, and I gotta say, hardly less smooth than the Hinderer.

What does this mean?

Hi philwar -

Very nice trinity.

Now I would say you might be looking for an AGR Acies to put next to those beauties.

best regards -

The Strider has a reputation for being... less than super smooth, shall we say? While the XM-18 has the opposite rep. This SMF at least is very smooth to open and close, from day one.

Thanks man I've been wanting an SMF really bad but was afraid of the stiffness reputation. Maybe I'll have a trinity some day too.

Eh If I could get a large micarta for $300 ish I'd pay it. Any more and I don't like the nickel and dime warranty. Everything cost $$$$. I just sent my strider back for a sharpen and adjustment, $15 bucks everytime. THAT is what's up on a warranty. But basically I'm going for the XM-18, just got to handle one and it's hands down better than anything I've had the chance of holding.

$15 in your pocket if you sharpened and adjusted it yourself... every time... just like with a Seb. Bear in mind, CRK actually gives you the tool to do it yourself.

;)

Oh I don't care about 15 bucks really. I just hate that say I need a new pocket clip for a sebenza it's like $20-30 for a POCKET CLIP. EVERYTHING you can imagine has a price tag next to it, they do NOTHING for free after you've dumped $350-450 on one of their knives.
