Composition of DH2?

I have the opportunity to get some DH2 which I understand to be a modified D2 produced for Caterpillar equipment blades. Does anybody have any reference for the composition of DH2?

Thanks for any info. I just want to make sure I can get the HT correct as I may be able to get a pretty good amount of this steel with some regularity.

Thanks,

I'm not familiar with it ,can you get the chemical composition ? 'Modified' steels can be almost anything.

Well, that's what I'm trying to find out. I have sent an email to a friend who works at a Cat dealer to see if he can point me in a direction to find out from the horse's mouth, but otherwise I suppose it'll be sending a chunk for analysis. It's a pretty regular supply of pretty big stuff. I can't have it all since the guy who's getting the blades will use it for some of his knife/sword work once we figure it out, but I should be able to get a good bit of it. I know he already has several hundred pounds (if not a thousand or more) of these blades just laying around, and more arriving as the quarry across the street wears them out, so it's worth the effort to try and figure it out.

I was hoping somebody here had come across it. I'll postg more as I find anything out.

Thanks,
