Compression lock

That seems pretty out of the norm. Had mine for a few weeks now and the liner sits about 30% across the width of the stop pin. I'd send it in. From what I've read here, I think Spyderco would make it right.

Although the above PM2 had no play at 100% lock up, the lock was sticky. I sent it in to Spyderco, a month later it came back with very early lockup, no lock stick and a fresh sharp edge. Charlynn and Spyderco customer service continue to impress. I still believe at 100% lock up, there would have been no issues, but the added stickyness of the lock prompted a trip for that PM2.

Rating the location of the liner across the tang as if it were a traditional Walker Liner Lock isn't really compatible. In terms of "early" vs "late", doesn't really fit as well as it does with Reeve Integral locks or Walker Liner locks. The oldest Para I have was from when they were still sold in the black/gray boxes and it locks in the same place as it did when I got it (over 8 years ago), and it has been in use from the day I bought it. The compression lock is a unique animal, love it.
