Compressor size for Kool Mist?

I've been trying to get in touch the manufacturer, but haven't heard anything. I recently bought a Porta Mist system, and am wondering how big a compressor I need for this. I know bigger is always better, but honestly I don't need a big compressor right now, and would prefer to spend as little as possible. I'm looking at a small 1 hp compressor with an 8 gallon tank. Does anybody know whether this would work?

Look up the specs on the Porta Mist, then buy a compressor that has more than enough capacity


these numbers will be in SCFM Standard Cubic Feet Per Minute - or whatever metric thing that is.


The tank size and the HP of the motor are irrelevent

Tanks are cheaper than motors and pumps

HP ratings on air compressors are fraudulent.

Those air mist coolers are air pigs, I have a 2hp 20 gallon compressor and it cycles often when powering the mist unit.
