I know someone who downloaded a protected .wmv song from the net and wants to convert it to another format - probably a wave so it will play on a standard CD player. Does anyone know of software that will allow someone to do that?

.wmv stands for Windows Media Video so they are video files and cannot be burned as audio files except if you rip the sound first...
maybe you meant .wma, and in that case with a recent version of Nero Burning Rom you have nothing special to do to burn it as an audio cd. just select "Burn an audio CD" at the begining, add all the audio files you want up to 74min (lots of audio format are supported), Nero will convert the files by itself.
