Concealed Carry Fixed Blade Suggestions

Lots of ideas. I should probably clarify just a little bit what I was asking. I'm thinking roughly a 4" blade that I can carry concealed relatively easy to complement my firearm. But I would also like it to not be alarming if I had to take it out to open a box for example. Ii like simple, clean lines. As far as steel goes...I am no expert but I think highly of the CPM-M4 steel that was used in my BM 810. I saw a picture of a knife somewhere....I think it was called an ESEE or something?. I enjoy this part of the knife acquisition process. The research and anticipation part... I get alot of info to go through and hopefully, I learn a little as I go along. Thanks guys...

Also look at the CRKT Obake... it slips right in my right front pocket with the sheath... attach the lanyard around the belt loop... it sits down in my pocket... easy draw... the lanyard pulls tight... the knife dislodges from the sheath perfectly....

The blades I EDC quite a bit that fit your bill would be a SOG Seal Pup Elite PE and a Spyderco Aqua salt. I have EDCed my Esee 3. For me, conceal carrying a med fixed blade is all about sheath and clip. The sheath should be kydex or plastic and as small as possible. The clip or how it attaches should be small, secure, IWB, yet easily removable. For me this is the Spyderco G-clip.

In Sheath. Smallest form factor to knife ratio I own. Easily concealable even in t-shirt and shorts

This is what I carry... a personal Combat/Utility I made in CPM4V.

I once knew of a guy who bought a four knife steak set and had a custom kydex rig built for them. He was in a profession where disposing the tool was easier than keeping it, and paid more for the carry system than the knives themselves. The takeaway for me is that anything you really want to carry can be made into an EDC/CCW option when coupled with the right gear. Just sayin.

Tekna Ocean Edge, great knife, amazing sheath. Highly customizable handle for wrap. I have a vintage one (late 70's?), made in Seki City from what I understand. The re-issued ones are made in U.S. or Italy. I would buy used vintage; relatively cheap.

Gryphon M-10, comfortable carry, very comfortable handle. Spyderco G-clip. Terzuola design.

Buck CSAR-T Liason, most concealable--esp. if carried horizontal belt with the addition of two zip-ties.

That Buck is one I have not seen before. Very interesting and worth a look.

I'd recommend it. Small knife but sturdy. Inexpensive too. Good edge. A zip-tie through each sheath grommet, adjusted to the width of your belt and it carries horizontally, probably no more than the width of your belt. I carry it cross-draw. Also lends itself well to a handle wrap if you wish. Sheath extremely minimal and holds the knife very securely.

And another vote for Bud Nealy. Bud, his wife Toni, and his shop person Karen are top notch. For concealed carry, his MCS system is hard to beat...

I currently carry a Benchmade 810 as my EDC and I love it but I am looking to explore my options when it comes to carrying a fixed blade knife concealed. I live in Arizona so Iam not too limited but I know very little about quality fixed blade knives. FWIW, my EDC firearm is the HK P7M8 so I want a fixed blade that will complement that...so I'm not really looking for any $20 knives for this particular application. What do you guys think highly of???

Well, at least you have good taste in pistols. I had to sell mine when we moved overseas :(

Anyway, I am a practical kind of a guy. If I am in the city, or about town, a fixed blade, for me is something I can drop in my pocket if need be, or wear on my belt, or wear around my neck (last choice!). I would take a hard, very hard look at the full tang Cold Steel Mini Pendleton Hunter. It comes in good stainless steel and is about to be released in 3V as well. Keep in mind it comes in two sizes, one shorter handle and one longer handle. The snap and belt loop part of the sheath comes off and you can wear it around your neck, or, with a clip plate or molle, or tek lok you can put it on your belt. Also, you can simply slip it in your pocket.
The Spyderco Street Beat comes with either micarta or FRN handles and is another great option.

check out anything from bastinelli.

Recommended. I have the Bastinelli Kalinou karambit. Excellent blade for IWB carry, scary sharp out of box, good sheath. I carry mine with a static cord. For pocket carry (with a static cord) I have Ka-bar TDI, the smaller model.

I am really looking to get the Diagnostic by Bastinelli, it's a small hawkbill/karambit blade.

Edit: TDI has the angled handle which in my opinion is a good design. It does not stick you in the ribs carrying IWB, helps hiding it in the pocket. I have not tried the larger modell but it should work well and the blade is near 4 inches. The TDI sheath needs improvement.

I conceal a Bk14 in a leather sheath clipped to the inside of my waist band. Sometimes I rock the BK11 in there as well. The sheath is made by Patriot Leather. The 11 is what is pictured, but I believe the BK14 would be a better option as it has a longer handle. I have also included a pic of the 14. You can carry it with a paracord wrap or with scales.
