Concealed carry jacket?

can I ask why you don't like IWB carry?
Crossbreed makes a REALLY comfy leather/kydex hybrid for a reasonable price.

Vanity mostly I guess. If I'm going to do IWB I'm going to need bigger pants, which means baggy pants... and I hate baggy pants.

Kahr Pocket Holster

Hmm do they make one for the XD-40 subcompact? I'll have to check that out. The thing seems like it might be a little big to stick in the pocket. The pocket holsters I've seen have been for smaller guns but I'll certainly go check it out, that could be a good answer for year round carry. Thanks!

Man - I just looked at the Sigs again for the first time in a while. My memory must be going :o . I thought they were much more money. Maybe they've come down in price. Now I want one too. :p Anyhow, good luck with your search and let us know what you settle on. -D

Will do and thanks!

Thanks for the other recommendations about the Sig jackets and the pants also everyone.

actually, you can do regular pants - just up one waist size.
or in my case, get off my butt, start exercising and ditch my february 15, drop a pant size, and my whole wardrobe will be set up for IWB! :D

The coronado jacket looks like just the ticket but yikes it's pricey. I do understand that you get what you pay for however, so I'm certainly not ruling it out.

Expensive, yes, but no more so than any leather jacket of the same quality. My oldest is now ten years old and still draws compliments.

You are totally right of course and I'm easy on clothes, I've got a much cheaper leather jacket that I purchased 15 years ago and it's still presentable.

I carry a Kel-tec 32 at work in a pocket holster with Khakies and dress shirts. I switch to a Glock 26 or Colt Officers model 45 as soon as I leave the office. The Kel-tec is not my first choice for self defense, but I think it is an acceptable compromise to be able to carry concealed at work.

It's rare for me to talk with someone who's carried more than a decade or two who doesn't eventually convert to pocket carry. A lot of guys feel it's not "manly" enough at first, they want to carry on the waistband when begin CCW. Unless an LEO department requires OWB/IWB carry, most folks I've met eventually pocket carry.

I have a Kahr PM9, but it doesn't pocket carry well in dress clothes because of the square angles. They print too much for me to feel perfectly concealed from all angles. A S&W snubbie, on the other hand, does not print in pleats, and does not print in my non-pleated pants, either. I carry a S&W 340 (12 oz. .357 but I load it with .38 +P+), but for a lot less money and an additional 3 oz., you could get an airweight .38. The rounded curves on revolvers makes them easy to conceal. The draw is very fast.

A few holster makers produce a holster that is normal waist carry that allows you to tuck your shirt. I have one by Galco.

I use a 5.11 "patrolman's jacket" as my Las Vegas winter coat. The giant hidden pockets would easily fit your pistol. In my opinion such breast pockets need some sort of internal holster to hold many small pistols. I put a Kahr PM40 in my left breast pocket and when I reached in to grab the grip, I found that it had shifted so the the barrel was pointing at my hand instead!
