Concealed Carry

CCW holder here in the great state of Oregon....uurrr rather Central Oregon I either carry a glock 29 10mm (woods carry) or my glock 30 .45 (city carry)

Boats, I'm in agreement with you. I recently picked up the SP101 in 2 1/4 inch...nice groups with .357 at 7 yards, and surprisingly easy to handle. I'd like to get some range time in with the .38 load just to see how tame it really is compared to the mag load. I'm even tempted to send it off for a small porting job. Ruger's got a winner here.

No concealed carry laws here yet :(

I prefer the USA made stuff. ;) Although I did have 3 SA XD's... This Smith is twice as ergonomic! I LOVE it... And the RATS as well ;)

For those visiting Indiana, you should know that our laws recognize carry licenses and permits from all other states and foreign countries. No reciprocity required; it's unilateral.

We're very hospitable. :D

Yep, I go up and visit a buddy of mine every so often in your state and I'm always carrying.

You should let us know when you're coming some time. We have a lot of training opportunities throughout the year that might interest you while you're here too. John Farnam, Louis Awerbuck, and several others visit Indiana every year, plus we have some excellent "home grown" people like Ken Campbell too.

I know that Sheriff Campbell has hosted instructors for "tactical tracking" classes at Boone County before, but I don't know of anyone who does any "survival" training here in Indiana.

Don't come to Wisconsin if you like to carry guns :\

or knives...or a stick...or anything the police decide you intended to be a "weapon"...gotta love those vague laws.

If Mark Green wouldn't have screwed the pooch so bad with his campaign funding, Doyle wouldn't have been in office to veto the CCW law, and Green wouldn't be in Tanzania.

I still can't believe Doyle got voted in for another term!

I digress...

openly carried knives, guns, ect are a quick way to get some attention from police (unless you're outdoors). Sad since open carry is legal, but they might just slap you with a disorderly conduct

but i usually have one or two knives on me. It's the whole "hear no, see no, speak no" mentality we have when it comes to "weapons" here. :jerkit:

Why would you do that? Shouldn't you practice with the tool that may save your life one day?

I see a lot of dudes on the range who bring out fancy ported 1911's or full size Glocks, shoot all day long, then throw the pistol in their range bag and stuff an airweight or Kel Tec in their pocket to go home.

Makes zero sense.

I hold residence in MO and KY and carry in both. I just upgraded from a 380 to a .45 acp. I bought a PT-145 by Taurus and love, love, love that gun.
