Is a sword a concealed weapon?

Depending on your state a sword is gonna fall under the same category as a knife in most cases. Most states have laws like "It is unlawful to conceal a knife with a blade length greater than 3" on or about one's person". That would include any sword. So you need to find out if open carry of large fixed blades is legal in your area. There are places where you can get locked up for having a 7" hunting knife open carry on your belt. A sword would most certainly be worse.

I live in Georgia. I have a weapons carry license. If I want to carry a waki on my back under a jacket I can. Not sure why I would. But I can. I usually just grab a gun when I leave the house just in case I run into someone carrying a sword.
