concealex sheaths from bali xtreme

If you do a search, you will find nothing but excellent reviews of Clay's sheaths. I personally own a horizontal for a BM42 and a Shoulder rig for a FHM and a neck sheath for the 42. I have NEVER seen such detail in a concealex sheath. There are NO rouch edges, the eylets are perfect, the fit is excellent with no play, yet with a good tug your knife is at your ready. Clay is a great guy to deal with too. He's fast and responsive and a great guy in general.

I've been using my Horizontal sheath for around 6 months and have had NO problems. The knife is still held very solidly in place with no play or wobble.

Yah I almost got one of Clay's concealex, which now i wish I had. The Kydex sheath I got is great but the clip is to high which makes the sheath sit to low. From the picture it looks like Clay's sheath has the clip with the rest of the sheath. I may get one once may pays start coming in.

Stagger Lee:

Greetings! It is my opinion that any sheath of this nature has an "adjustment period". I noticed it for the first few weeks that I carried. (Around the house, of course)!

Keep in mind that I'm just over 6' and pack about 255lb. I have a large back side that accomidates the Inverted V nicely. Yes guys, I have a big Ace!

You might sacrifice a minimum amount of comfort when resting your dogs, however, you will appreciate the deliberate placing of your edged friends. Always at the ready, after practicing your draw technique for a few hours it will seem like the I.V. has been rivoted to your Ace. (Hmmm

seems that I've heard that before).

I would not trust any other rig at this point in time! This opinion is that of a user!

Best of luck with the sheath of your choice! I think you are heading into the right direction!

Regards,

I wear my inverted V with my #70 1st prod. run in it every day. I usually only wear one, but it's nice when I want a PC68 with me too.

I just get afraid of having $300.00+ confiscated if I got into any trouble while wearing them.

By the way, I cary it on my right side across the beltloop behind the pocket.
It doesn't pinch or jab at all, even driving.
I am constantly crouching down, (being a tile setter), and it never gets in my way.

But titanium does leave a big silver streak across tiles if it scrapes them...

I wear mine every day and the only time it's really noticable to me is when I'm either side stepping through a narrow area, or sliding into my truck.

You have to be concious of that extra space behind you so you don't get hung up.

Other than that, sitting hasn't been a problem for me.

I have to say though that the positioning is about the best I've ever felt. That downward angled pull leads to a very fluid opening......... whichever opening you choose.

do you guys wear your sheaths under like a light jacket, duster, trench coat or what?

Just Curious

Nate

Absolutely Clay,

After mentioning it you are right, the thing does catch in narrow opennings. I had forgot about tht going through my back patio door.

To the others, I do value my $300 + therefore I do not carry illegal weapons outside the home and instead rely on the VERY commom Buck as a daily carry. Unfortunately at this day in Age the Balisong is restricked to the private art and not a carnival.

I have had the privellage to inspire and examine and use and comission many custom kydex makers, and in my opinion the first thigns that come into my mind when someone asks abou;xtreme sheaths is that:: - Clay is a person who can tackle ANY challenge and (post picture of kerambit sheath here) he doesn't limit himself to established designs and always finds a way around a "problem knife" or a "prioblem rig/setup" and in many times in a roundabout way you wouldnt expect.. many makers have given up easily on harder projects but clay takes it on (insert picture of kerambit sheath here
smile.gif
). and he does it gracefully to boot.. his sheaths have spacers and the edges are finished smoothly - an extreme amount of detail for some "measely" sheath..

yep he takes pride in his art and creates these funky sheaths that I've never seen before and never thought possible (insert kerambit kydex sheath here)

Nate:: I almost always wear some kind of over shirt. Be it a flannel in the Winter, or something lighter in the Summer I always wear something that will cover it.

Sabo:: Tilting your pelvis slightly forward (while through narrow openings) will prevent you from hooking up. The more you wear the rig, the more you understand when you'll get caught and when you won't. Actually I normally bring one hand back around behind me and cover the sheath with the back of my open hand.

Sniperboy:: As usual, you're the best! I would post pics of the Korambit sheaths, but since their Bob's babies I'll need an OK from him.
