For those of you who may be concerned by the recent blade issue of the Museum model I just want you to know that I have two shipments of Knives coming that have been fully inspected and tested by the quality control inspector at the shop. I am so sorry for this unfortunate accident regarding the Museum model. However, I sincerely hope you will continue to have confidence in the quality of Himalayan Imports handcrafted Khukuri Knives and Sword since we have been in business for 19 years.
Thank you all being so supportive and loyal.

i have no concerns at all, except that i wish i had a job so i could buy more stuff :)

i voted with my wallet as they say, debt is good, and bought a nice pen knife the other day. that's how concerned i am :)

since i've been studying the board and archives, the numbers of failures has been well, extremely low to none... a few blems... sure. some basic and simple issues (chips, folds, cracks in handles), all fixed for the various people, sure. everyday stuff. no surprises. i've seen worse shopping for new plates :)

i doubt muchly if ever, a catastrophic failure/issue like we saw will happen anytime again. that's like what? 1 in 10,000? 50,000?

speaking of loyal and patient :) pssssst, karambits :) lots and lots and lots of karambits :>

Don't concern yourself, Yangdu.

We all have the greatest confidence in HI products and in you.

I'm sure we all hope you have many more years of business.

I've never had any concerns about HI quality, and still don't. This could quite possilby be the best time ever to get a top quality khukuri from HI. You know the kamis are being especially careful now! Can't wait to see what's coming.

only concerns i have with HI, is budgeting and wall space!

I agree...

I am still completely confident in HI quality and the HI khuks that live with me. They have all been put to work and are happy to do so. No worries.

HI is what I have and when funds are available is what I will continue to buy. Your honesty and devotion to quality and customer satisfaction are UNMATCHED!

How many knives have been sold, for how many years? And how many have failed? Different handle, different bolster, different assembly techniques, and it didn't quite work out as expected. I'll just have to console myself with the piles of other great HI knives which have exceeded all my expectations!

Please don't worry about it Yangdu. We're all good. And I'm still going to end up with a MM one way or another. ;) :D

Hey Yangdu, I'm waiting on next DOTD or Blems Deal. Can't wait to see the new shipment. Currently stocking up funds.

Never any concern here. These things can and have happened to every knifemaker under the sun.

I personally believe that H.I. blades are some of the best blades in the world, bar none, regardless of price. Functionally, aesthetically and ergonomically, they are true working blades. I will definitely continue to buy more and convince more of my friends to do so. Not even a bump in the road.

Thanks Yangdu.

We appreciate the increased QC testing that's been implemented, Yangdu. This will only strengthen HI's already outstanding reputation.

I blame the driver of that Mercedes truck laden with 2 tons when he hit that pot hole at 60 mph that fractured that particular piece of leafspring in Steves kuk.

I showed my latest HI aquisition (20" Sirupati by Sher) via Steve to a custom knifemaker tonight and he was stunned by its quality. I will be doing some gardening with it tomorrow.

I'll second that!

No worries here. HI's quality is obvious when you use an HI knife.
