Concern

When I grow up, I want to be the guy in Nepal who get's to smash the khukuris into things before shipping.

No worries from here (except where to come up with the dough to buy some more HI blades). :)

Have no fear, Yangdu. I would bet my life on your blades any day. The time will never come when I fear to bash these HI's around after I've tested them. Solid knives, solid company, solid everything. Thanks for the years of great knives, and I'm not shaken in the least.

Good news about the testing in Nepal, though. I think that will reassure any newcomers who have doubts.

Thanks again, Yangdu, for all of your amazing work and service,

Chris

Sounds like fun, bet he makes sure the kamis do them all properly once he has one or two failures. :D

Some of the Khukri houses {shops} in Nepal will have great big hardwood logs on big trestles for customers to test thier kukri on before buying.

The old time Gurkhas often tested in a hard core style when they were buying though. Ive got a statment I took from a fellow who got 2 Gurkhas to help him buy a kukri in india in WW2 , Ill see if I can find it.

FYI, I have had 2 Randalls fail and no HI. I talk with Yangdu frequently, once with Bo, never with his son.
HI is a great company to do business with and supporting the Kami's in Nepal is a plus.
Yangdu, thank you for all that you do.

while we're at it, here's my wish list for the upcoming shipment:
:D

chitlangi bowie in nice hardwood
R5 in horn
Samsher in super-red chandan

what about you guys?

As long as we'er wishing
Chitlangi bowie in the Montana Elk Antler
Terry

Them Samshers sure do look good in "super-red chandan".:D

Hope to see/get Samsher w/Neem, R-5 w/ horn, AK Bowie w/ hard wood, and MINI TARWAR:thumbup: in next shipment.

My confidence is attested by the fact that over the last 2 years I bought more than 20 HI khukuries and knives, no khukuries from other houses and I still continue to lust after HI products.

Yangdu, don't worry, HI is still THE GOLDEN STANDARD.

If you want to ship M43s and Bolos to me, I'll test them, and I promise to put them through a REAL thorough and lengthy test regimen...

My knife safe is full, under the bed dust bunnies are well fed, no more wall space, some in garage, some in truck, one or two in Disaster Prep Bags, BOBs Bug Out Bags.

AND I STILL DROOL OVER THE OFFERINGS.

Can't beat Yangdus Customer Service and BirGorka craftmanship and we help others in our endeavors. DAG

My mother used to tell me, "If it's too good to be true, then it probably is." I've found her words to be true most of the time. They don't apply to my wife, daughter, or to HI.

Your knives are some of the best in the world, if not the best, and I still will be the most avid supporter and customer of yours and of course your kamis.
God bless to you all at Reno and Nepal.
Andreas

I never worried a bit about HI quality. I have yet to be disapointed by any HI product that I have bought and I will continue to buy more.

It is good to hear that the blade testing is taking place and I am sure that HI will improve even more.

Thanks for your assurances Yangdu, but my belief in HI's quality never wavered.
Gotta get one of those Chitlangi Bowies, myself :D
