Concerts N' Such

Anyone ever see original AIC or Sublime? Those are two id also give a pinky to see.
yeah a great big MEH to Chevelle and Stone Sour for me too. I saw Avenged before they played Ozzfest, small show in the middle of the corn, they were good there. I like/d Disturbed though. Yeah I know there are alot more bands I have seen, but I'm just too old to remember all of em. LOL I do rock hard. Seems like alot of us have similar musical tastes. I too would give a pinkie to have seen Zep. When the Sex Pistols came around in '77 I begged my mother to take me, I WAS 10. hahaha

Too many teenage nights in New Orleans (and too much alcohol) to remember them all...
Do outdoor festivals count? Between several Voodoo Festivals and Lollapoloozas impossible to keep track of who I have seen.

But Gwar always puts on a GREAT show

of course festivals count! which reminds me, I can add Phish and a bunch of jam bands and bluegrass to my list, and the Blues for the Rainforest festival. Plus Bob Dylan (meh), Tom Petty, Bruce Hornsby and the Range, and other opening acts for The Dead (who I have seen close to 100 times). Oh and Cheap Trick, Heart, who fall under the "too much vodka to remember" category, Leif Garrett (my very first "show", at Six Flags, about a million years ago).

I saw Godsmack outdoors with a storm in the background. That was awesome. Saw george strait which was cool with quite a few other country stuff. Kevin Fowler and roger creager put on great shows.

I saw Mookie Blaylock (pearl jams original name) nirvana, sole asylum, stone temple pilots (i think or maybe soundgarden) and Alice in chains (may have been somewhere else but did see them with my brother)in one concert before they all blew up or things for them got crazy I was only 10 my older brother took me

Pearl Jam
Primus
Dinosaur Jr.
Front 242
Tool
Babes in Toyland
Screaming Trees
Violent Femmes
Tears for Fears

I know I'm forgetting a lot, but off the top of my head:

AC/DC (Many times since the early 80s. Always awesome.)
Al Green (Playing a law firm Christmas party. Bill Cosby opened the show. Some people have too much money.)
Al Stewart (Many times since the late 70s. Always a good show.)
Barry Manilow (Playing a law firm Christmas party. Surprisingly good show.)
Bellamy Brothers (They done good.)
Billy Joe Shaver (I think it was a good show.)
Chicago (Playing a small venue in Vegas. Damn fine show.)
Chuck Berry and Jerry Lee Lewis (Playing at some guy's birthday party. Good show.)
Colin Hay (Frontman from Men at Work. Good show.)
Crosby Stills & Nash (Playing a law firm Christmas party. Good show.)
Dionne Warwick (Not good. Left halfway through. I heard it got worse.)
Drive-by Truckers (They're good.)
Eagles (Hotel California tour. Jimmy Buffett opened. How awesome is that?)
Eddie Money (Playing a law firm Christmas party. Good show.)
Foreigner (Playing a law firm Christmas party. Good show.)
Fred Eaglesmith (Definitely worth seeing. Very engaging performer.)
George Jones (Zzzzzz....)
Gordon Lightfoot (Still enjoyable, but used to be so much better.)
Gipsy Kings (Great show, but they won't let the club run the AC. Not good for Houston in the summer.)
Hank Williams Jr. (Opening for ZZ Top. Drunk and rude. And not in a good way.)
Hayes Carll (Best thing in Texas music today.)
Jimmy Buffett (When Margaritaville was new.)
Kenny Rogers (The Silver Lion playing a holiday party thrown by a casino for he boss. Good Show.)
Kiss (Skip the show, don't miss the encore.)
Los Lonley Boys (Those boys can sure play guitar!)
Loverboy (In 1981 and again about 10 years ago. Still sound the same.)
Lynyrd Skynyrd (At the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Nobody is good at the rodeo. Worst music venue ever.)
Meat Loaf (A year or two ago. Amazing. Just freakin' amazing.)
Monte Montgomery (Guitar players think he's great. I don't play guitar.)
Queen (Around 1980 maybe? Good show. Freddie Mercury's unitard seemed a little gay, though.)
Rammstein (Spectacular show. Fire! Fire!)
Ray Wylie Hubbard (Best thing in Texas music until Hayes Carll came along.)
Reba McEntire (Playing a law firm Christmas party. Not really my thing.)
Roger Waters - The Wall (All things considered, the best show I've ever seen.)
Steely Dan (One of my favorite bands until I saw them live. Shoot the sound man.)
Stevie Ray Vaughn (At Town Lake in Austin.)
Styx (Still good after all these years)
Tony Bennett (Playing a holiday party thrown by a casino for he boss. Good show.)
Van Halen (Finally saw them last year, with special guest kool and the Gang. They still got it.)
Willie Nelson (Always an excellent show.)
ZZ Top (Okay shows.)

And at Farm Aid II, of which I have little memory: Alabama, The Beach Boys, The Blasters, Judy Collins, Rita Coolidge, Steve Earle, Joe Ely, Exile, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Emmylou Harris, Julio Iglesias, Rick James, Jason & the Scorchers, Waylon Jennings, George Jones, Bon Jovi, Nicolette Larson, Los Lobos, John Mellencamp, Vince Neil, Willie Nelson, Steppenwolf, Taj Mahal, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Joe Walsh, Neil Young, X, The Unforgiven.

I feel old.

I have literally seen thousands of bands at hundreds of concerts. I went to Milwaukee Metalfest when it was still in existence three times seeing metal bands from all over the world. At one Metalfest alone I saw over 70 bands in a three day event. I saw Burn the Priest before they changed their name to Lamb of God and I still have the 7" I bought directly from the band. I saw Death before Chuck Schuldinger died. One year, I saw a great stretch of death metal with Cryptopsy, Deeds of Flesh and Cephalic Carnage playing back to back to back in the middle of the afternoon without much of a crowd before they were known bands with Jamie Jasta of Hatebreed sitting next to me.

I met Jonathan Davis about two days after Korn's debut album came out and he asked me and my buddy how they did (I wasn't impressed LOL). They had just opened for Marylin Manson with Danzig headlining. I've seen more Norwegian black metal bands than most people could name including Mayhem with Maniac slicing himself open, Enslaved before they went progressive and Emperor before they broke up. I saw Nirvana on the last tour before Curt Cobain killed himself. I saw the Grateful Dead in Las Vegas in '95 before Jerry died later that tour in Chicago.

I've seen bands play in punk rock squat homes' living rooms (Phobia), front yards (The Locust) & abandoned slaughter houses (Neuraxis). I saw Brann Dailor and Bill Kelliher of Mastodon play with Today is the Day as the rhythm section before Mastodon was their focus and I still have Mastodon's demo on CDR. I have hundreds of stories...

It's easier to say whether or not I've seen a band before than list all of the ones I've seen. I've seen more bands in the past year than most of the lifetime lists in this thread.
