Condor combat axe

I have an Estwing 24a "axe" on the way if that's what you mean, I mainly want the hawk for fun, and I can see it as being a decent splitter. Maybe not so much chopping as I said earlier, but splitting.

I don't have a pipe hawk.

I do have a riflemans hawk, norse hawk, spike hawk, pole axe, bad axe, and special forces shovel from CS.

ALL have been thrown, and used hard.

The Rifleman hawk has been thrown for over a decade, They hold up great.

As others said, take a file (or sandpaper) to the inside of the eye to round the inner edges a bit. This will save wear and tear on your handles.

Before throwing, make sure you take the set screw out. You can split a handle in a single throw with it in if you miss hit.

I don't own the Condor. But would buy every single one of the CS hawks without hesitation based on all the ones I own. They are not perfect, or custom quality by any means, but the sure are a rugged value, and just plain fun!

The pipe hawk is on my short list.

This is also awesome to hear! A rugged value is just what I'm looking for at this point, and I have heard a lot of bad things about the set screw and will deal with it first thing. Thanks!

They are lots of fun. But for instance the Norse hawk I own is not meant for splitting. If that's important be careful what you get. Cold steel hawks are a great value though
