Condor Golok Came: I Think I Got a Defect

I've been in contact with Joezilla and Rick from Condor Tool & Knife, and Rick will be replacing my defective product. While I don't consider it a "defect" (read my review; it's a great tool) it's still nice to know that Condor stands behind their work. I'll update this thread with photos of the new Golok once it arrives.

Just wanted to leave an update; my replacement Golok came today. It lacks the flaws of my other one, and it came very sharp (remember, the other one was pretty dull) and the handle is a little thinner. I'll post photos soon.

Great customer service!

As promised, here are a few photos of the replacement Golok. I'm saving the good photos for my re-review, but here's the new one...

The original is shown, and has an orange 550 cord lanyard. The new one is on top. As you can see, Super Death Kitty likes the blades...

My daughter's penguin posed for a shot as well...

Nice!

Got mine in the mail last week. Mine was in good condition. Love the feel of it. It's more compact than I imagined. Definitely stoked about it!

I received mine a week ago and initially, i was a bit worried if I too would get a lemon...
However, mine was perfect!....No flaws of any kind.

It was maybe a tad dull, but nothing to worry about..a few minutes work with stones and it was shaving sharp.

The handle is a bit too thick for my taste, i can't get a nice firm grip, so i have to sand it down a bit...either that or make a completely new handle...what do you guys think?
Also, i have been playing with the idea of stripping the paint of the blade and give it a nice natural patina, using lemon juice.
Bad idea or..?
