Condor Khukuri failure

Just for the record, I once batoned my cold steel kukri machete through an 8" diameter piece of wet oak that had a huge knot in it. When I reached the knot, the blade bent around the grain which resulted in an almost 45 degree radial bend and an approximately 30 degree axial twist. I couldn't get past the knot and had to pound the blade back out. The whole ordeal took me about an hour. The machete wasn't any worse for wear. It went almost completely back to normal. You can see a very slight bend/twist, but only if you look closely along the spine. But then again, the cold steel kukri doesn't have a notch ground into it halfway through the blade at its narrowest point. Sorry, but that is just an incredibly bad design.
